Christopher Martin

Christopher joined the lab in September of 2003. He is an undergraduate student majoring in genetics. During the fall of 2004 Christopher assisted Dr. Maxwell and Dr. Nakhla as well as writing a research grant for his own project. In the spring of 2004 Christopher completed the work outlined in his fall grant proposal. The research used a PCR based gene tagging technique to look for the Geminivirus resistance gene in tomato. The initial project proved promising and was granted a Hilldale award by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The research continues into the summer of 2005.
