Plants with severe symptoms and without symptoms were selected for use in our Marker Assisted Selection research. The resistance gene has been mapped (MPMI 4:489-492) to chromosome 11 (between T10 and TG110) and located towards the centromere from the introgression in chromosome 11 associated with the L. hirsutum-resistance to ToLCV reported by Hanson et al., 2000 (J. Amer. Soc. Hort. Sci. 125:15-20, between TG36 and TG393). |
