Evaluation of tomato germplasm for resistance to geminiviruses in Sanarate, GT: March 04 --  Evaluation of hybrid.

Line: G13h (hirsutum resistance)
(g+/g+, o+/o+), DSI = 1

x

Line: G171c (chilense resistance)
(g/g, o/o), DSI = 0.5

F1

F1, XA-S2

Things to note:  i) F1 is highly resistant, DSI = 0.5. ii) Fruit shape, round is dominant. iii) green shoulder is present in hybrid, g+/g.  iv) size is intermediate between the two parents.

If the cross was made between G13h and a susceptible line, the DSI would be about 2 for the F1.  If G171c crossed  with a susceptible line, it is expected the DSI would be 3 to 3.5 for the F1.
