Evaluation of tomato germplasm for resistance to geminiviruses in Sanarate, GT: March 04 --

902 breeding line was derived from L. hirsutum (Phytopathology 88:910-914) by Czosnek and Vidavski.

Line 902, this line is the resistant parent for crosses with many susceptible lines to give the FAVI # (hybrids).  FAVI 9 was sent to Guatemala in 1998.  Of interest is that this population of 902 plants segregated for reaction to begomoviruses in Guatemala and also for green shoulder.  All plants had round fruit about 120 g.

Line: G13h was derived by selfing resistant plants from FAVI 9.
