Sara Steien is an undergraduate student in L&S, UW-Madison majoring in Biology. She is developing specific PCR primers for detection of tomato-associated geminiviruses from Honduras. She will use this technology to determine the geminiviruses associated with tomato germplasm being evaluated for resistance to geminiviruses at Zamorano, Honduras by Dr. Maria Mercedes Rocha de Doyle and her associates.
