Orawan Chatchawankanphanich

Dr. Orawan Chatchawankanphanich received her Ph. D. from the UW in 1997 and spent the fall of 1999 at UW initiating a project on the development of a combinatorial chemistry approach as an antiviral strategy against geminiviruses. She is continuing this project in Thailand along with other projects on trans-dominant interference as a strategy for engineering tomatoes with resistance to Tomato yellow leaf curl Thailand geminivirus and development of virus detection methods.
