Jamie Potter is a graduate student majoring in Plant Pathology. She is developing specific PCR primers and non-radioactive DNA probes for detection of bean-infecting geminiviruses. She will use this technology to determine the geminiviruses associated with beans and weeds in Guatemala in association with Dr. Luis Mejia, San Carlos Universidad.
