Steve Hong is an graduate student  majoring in Plant Pathology. He is currently on rotation in Dr. Maxwell's lab and is developing specific PCR primers for detection of Typhula snow mold fungi and characterizing geminiviruses from Central American and the Caribbean. His long term goal is to start a graduate program in biocontrol..
