Abby Bettilyon is an undergraduate student in CALS, UW-Madison. She is developing specific PCR primers for detection of tomato-associated geminiviruses from Guatemala. She will use this techology to determine the geminiviruses associated with tomato germplasm being evaluated for resistance to geminiviruses in Sansirisay, Guatemala by Dr. Luis Mejia and his associates.
